This game sounded interesting when I read the synopsis, but after playing the first screen and not being able to find one item even though I used the hint button at least 10 times I turned it off.
Not to mention, the tutorial is a joke. It points to the menu and says "this is the menu" Points to the information icon, "this is where you get information." Gee, thanks Sherlock, I had no idea! **rolling my eyes**
I usually give games a good go before I quit on them or come to the forum for help. But this game is just beyond me. The designers of the game need to go back to school or at least play what they made! sheesh!

Review Echoes of the Past: The Castle of Shadows
I thought this game was one of the best I've played so far. This is the second games in this series. I played the first one and enjoyed it, but this one I enjoyed SO much more.
The graphics were great. Voice overs not so much, but since those are only from cut scenes they are bearable.
The puzzles were somewhat challenging but not to the point where I had to find a cheat to get through them. In fact, I rarely used a walkthrough until the end of the game (because I played the advanced mode and missed an object or two.

I finished playing this game last night and it was just ok. The hidden object scenes were challenging as the items can be in several spots.
This hints were not very useful at times, which was frustrating when having to find objects called something I had never heard of before.
The puzzles were not challenging at all.
The storyline was just ok.
The ending was abrupt to me. Not sure if it was because I was being distracted by my 6 year old or if it was really just that way.
I'd give it
1/2 out of 5 Which translates to "meh" me my book.

Something New....
A few months ago I stumbled upon Big Fish Games after being interested in a game Pogo had for DL but I didn't want to pay the $20 to get it. So I searched the net to see if I could find a deal or coupon code and after pressing a few links I found BFG and the game I wanted for only 6.99! I also DLed a few other games that I found free codes for at retailmenot.com
I've become pretty addicted to their games. My favorite so far are Hidden Object and/or Adventure games - mainly because they have a story line. The rest of the games they offer are very similar to games I can play on Pogo.
I've been toying with the idea of reviewing some of the games I've played. Thankfully they let you play games for one hour before you buy them. I've come across some real duds and some real stellar games that I will probably play again later on!
Anyway, keep tuned for reviews and any special coupon codes that I come across.

U2.com > News > 'We're Coming Back...'
Today I opened my email and saw the subject line: ALERT: Event Update - Rescheduled U2 Soldier Field
Of course I clicked on the thing as fast as I could!!! U2 will be back in Chicago on July 5, 2011 and our tickets are still valid :) (RED) Zone here we come!!!
I also made my way over to U2.com to check out more info on this awesome news and found this video: U2.com > News > 'We're Coming Back...'
It sounds like Bono didn't rest a day; writing songs from his bed and now recording with the band.

Bono's severe injury causes concert postponement
On Friday, May 21 Bono went to the doctor after experiencing some paralysis in one of his legs. He underwent immediate back surgery for a herniated disk.
U2.com posted an article where the doctor revealed details of the surgery:
"Bono was referred to me by Dr Muller Wohlfahrt late last week with a sudden onset disease. He was already in severe pain with partial paralysis in the lower leg. The ligament surrounding the disc had an 8mm tear and during surgery we discovered fragments of the disc had traveled into the spinal canal. This surgery was the only course of treatment for full recovery and to avoid further paralysis. Bono is now much better, with complete recovery of his motor deficit. The prognosis is excellent but to obtain a sustainable result, he must now enter a period of rehabilitation."
Bono was released from the hospital yesterday and according to a skype session The Edge gave U2.com, he's recovering well. The Edge also threw in a few light hearted jokes (at Bono's expense) which really makes me believe that everything will be ok.
Oddly enough, this has made me realize how lucky I am to be old enough to have seen 6 U2 shows and experience the difference that Bono has made in the world though (RED) and ONE. For some reason, my mind viewed Bono as being immortal in a way; invincible. Today I wore one of my (RED) shirts - it's apparent that I cannot stop thinking about this horrible injury. And I know I'm such a nut, but it makes me sick to the core to think about something horrible happening to any of those guys!
Next tour I am taking my little man with me to the concert with some noise muffling ear phones. Seeing U2 is something he's grown to want to do desperately over the last few months. Thankfully U2 has already started in on their next album so and a tour will follow that - crosses fingers - prayerfully so.
Bono, rest up so you can come out to the world at full force. Sending prayers and healing vibes...

50 Reasons Why We Love Bono
Today is Bono's 50th Birthday. Hard to believe that I am obsessed with a man who is around the same age as my mother! But obsessed I am and probably will always be.
Bono has changed the lives of many not only through his music but also through his activism. He has brought the world's attention to the AIDS crisis in Africa and has provided easy ways for us to support his cause. In honor of Bono my 6 year old son and I wore (RED) shirts. And since my little guy turned 6 on Saturday (yeah, he couldn't wait two more days to share the B-man's birthday) he wondered if "Uncle Bono" would invite him to his birthday party. LOL
In honor of Bono's birthday, @u2.com made a list of 50 reasons why we love Bono. A lot of the reasons actually made me laugh out loud for real :)
1. His voice.
2. "Chune" -- the way he says "tune."
3. His ultra-high platform shoes, or perhaps the insecurity they seem to represent.
4. The goofiness and neediness that prompted all those stage-climbing episodes in the early 1980s.
